There was no new Carmageddon title for over a decade. SCi had planned a fourth rate for 2005, but it was about the same time SCi was apparently scrapped under the name of Eidos.

Eidos acquired in 2009 by Square Enix. And if it were not for Eidos Square Enix worse off than they already are.

Square Enix has started the new game in Carmageddon.com of a countdown timer Hanseatic Trade Center (so typical). The timer is in 11 days expire, and if it does, expect to see announced a new title (or an other countdown timer) set.

We this can not confirm, but it is a very good chance that this is going to be a 3DS-Titel. We will certainly know when E3 starts on juin. This is when The Rapture us until then.
