Tell GR: Where Will Grand Theft Auto V Take Gamers?

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota
Today's announcement that Grand Theft Auto V was indeed on its way, even to the point that Rockstar Games was ready to show off an announcement trailer, was surprising to no one. We're very ready for the latest installment of the world's most controversial video game.

Spending hours upon hours in Grand Theft Auto IV's version of Liberty City has left us with quite the impression, but now that Grand Theft Auto V is officially on its way, let's examing what we know so far (very little) and narrow down the possibilities for GTA V's next location.

We'll start off by saying that Rockstar Games will not be taking players back to Liberty City for the latest GTA installment. That's stale. If we know anything about the elusive mega-developer, it's that Rockstar likes to keep things fresh.

We've really only got a logo to go on at this point, but there are some telling details inherent in the massive splash page. Grand Theft Auto V's logo features a roman-numeral 5 with the word "Five" spelled out in front of it. Since Grand Theft Auto III, numerical entries in the series have meant a return to Liberty City. Our guess is that the V in this logo will mean something.

Obviously, we're talking Vice City, but will a modern day Miami make for the amazing narative Rockstar is sure to cook up? We're not so sure. Once you've done 80s Miami, there might not be too much to go back to. Instead, the currency-esque V in the latest GTA's logo suggests a locale with a big focus on money and business.

We're thinking Los Santos, the San Andreas stand-in for Los Angeles. With California acting as the eighth largest economy IN THE WORLD, it make sense for a Grand Theft Auto to focus on the land of stars, business, drugs, police, race, and lower-, middle-, and upper-class citizens. Los Angeles presents the optimal locations for a totally varied cast of characters and a totally varied landscape.

It certainly helps that Rockstar Games has a ton of assets and research already built up in their recent development of crime-caper L.A. Noire. It makes sense that those utilties could be put to better use by the in-house development teams at Rockstar Games.

Where do you want Grand Theft Auto V set?

Microsoft "Unapologetic" about pressing of Kinect on casual gamers

Microsoft "Unapologetic" about pressing of Kinect on casual gamers

In an interview with MCV Xbox EMEA Vice President Chris Lewis, identified the Kinect as the reason for their success and have no qualms about, press the Kinect as hard as they can:

...Xbox is that defies normal curve which you might expect. There is no doubt that Kinect is a great shot adrenalin into the arm of the Division provided. What we are seeing now is massive tracts of land by families and younger audiences flock to it...

What you don't see us is conceived, the. What you will see, is distract us to improve the experience, and not with Kinect. I do not believe that our core gamers will tolerate anything from us...

I think we are on a journey of growth and we are about the fact that we want that you address these target groups described unapologetic. The key is not to alienate all those while trying they also address. And to be used for marketing and our audiences to understand, we are far more savvy about partnerships to increase this type of complaint, always...

REALLY! Core gamers love Kinect

REALLY! Core gamers love Kinect

Well, that Kinect of your favorite "Core" invasion are title when watched, heard, or read our live blog of the Microsoft E3 press conference, then you just know. It is mass effect 3, added Ghost Recon: future soldier, and much more. As this sad, first broke sad news, she heard nearly the simultaneous sighs and screams of core gamers everywhere.

But the increasingly delusional Kinect creative director, Kudo Tsunoda believes that the sound of the core gamer jump for joy, they wave their appendages to start prepping for the onslaught of which was Kinect infused core title.

Kudo, said talking to an audience at E3:

I mean, I never really thought that core gamers in any way against Kinect were.

Really Kudo? Maybe you missed the entire Internet, but core gamers don't want to make of themselves in their living room Narren- memo . We are more than happy to leave this kind of embarrassment that streamed casuals, regardless to the Wii because it was the "it", what to do at the moment. In addition, we are too lazy. We sit on the couch and use our thumb to our games play. This is pushing it.

If core gamer said, "Hey douchebags, you can push - this crap to casuals all you want, but do not affect our core games," Kudo heard instead:

We really love Kinect, and we want to Kinect in the experiences that we regularly play.

This is a real quote from Kudo Tsunoda. Apparently on so much opiates is doped up, that any hatred painting translates clouds to happy little of Bob Ross .

For the less than 0.0001% of you core players who agree to Kudo, in then, you are in luck:

Already go the number of the Kinect experience, we have until the end of the year, so it is triple more different kinds of experiences in more different genres.

Really. We are all in for a world shit. Let us just pray that it continues this shit optional to make.

REALLY! Feature of the game is random revolution, its ugly head, unless an industry figure as ridiculously says something they simply called must be breeding. Read something frightening and want to take GR's? E-Mail-anthony@gamerevolution.com.

Gamers arms, buying more used games

Gamers arms, buying more used games

According to IndustryGamers, used sales at GameStop to almost 10% have increased in the first quarter alone. This could have something to do with the lack of new products, such as usual in the first quarter of any year when a lot of last year's holiday games be used feed. But I'm ready to play, that it probably because people now significantly pay more for gas, food and well, everything.

Couple that with the fact that, that players tend to do so, a bunch of be thrifty and it always is rarer, they a full $60 more pay, except for about the first month of a rabid fan base purchasing a title. Our wallets are strapped already with online pass codes, downloadable content, new-fangled accessories and mature consoles. How should we give games to full retail price our money to developers instead of a retail store new buy, is, which usually not like most customers care about, when the $20, which they buy used game store one in the direction of their phone bill can go.

So, honestly, how often you pay full price for a game?
