King's bounty: Legions - preview

Developers for Facebook games have almost always difficulties gaming sites that make to take seriously their games, especially during E3, when they compete against hundreds of titles on the show floor. I mean, Game Revolution do not have a Facebook section, I assume, makes us seem like unsympathetic sting... (oh, should I me to defend it?) The general idea is that despite all the excitement and money on Farmville, we tend to view Facebook games as the best bite-sized conceptual are fundamental to the games that only popular, because they are catchy - gaming's pop genre, to put it kindly. But if we more games as see King's bounty: legions, we need to get our collective feet may be out of our mouths.

His works of art, world map and character animations refute only at first glance, the Facebook platform. Translate these legions also on beta variation of the King's bounty series already the strategy RPG adventure by his fans celebrated. Player must their army, accumulation of soldiers and gold through quests and conquests, rule over the country claim build (and preferably, to their Facebook friends). And did I mention that the game a certain hour every day for free can be played?

Creating battle on a hex based grid move a team from a current list of 32 units, players each other and team to attack their opponents, until one of them victorious. Teams have slots for five units - two mortal, two immortal, legendäre-and players can one and a less powerful unit in a more powerful slot (say, an immortal in a legendary slot) place for a big boost. Team weight a player through their leadership-stat (effective the player's level), definitely contributes to the how many of each unit player may be taken in the fight.

Casual players need to go to get placed where each unit in the field to cover and how much each contributes character attributes to the battle, shares, not in detail; Everyone must need to know it is, as you click on an enemy up until he died. But hardcore gamers have a lot of space, their teeth in, particularly the Pentagram strengthen and weaknesses between class character types; Defender fall warriors deal 30% more damage, and the same is true for mages attack defenders.

In contrast have to play against friends no level restrictions and ordered matches (although I hit Nival, a medal should earn face on it the winner with the loser), are not on an online rankings credited automatically set against opponents who almost equal team weight. The focus of the multiplayer, but is clear: PvE costs endurance, PvP but not. Users with replacement of Facebook credits can increase their endurance (how many hours a day can they play) or gain some gold and units, although Nival have ensured that the player can buy their way into a victory.

King's bounty: legions will hopefully in the next few weeks, depending on, how well that goes beta be available. The good news? We have beta codes for ya. Check out the giveaway page soon.

Namco Bandai seems to be doing a bang-up job of bringing their arcade classic into the modern era. Games can certainly move a lot faster now, but these new fangled processors and graphics chips can also populate the screen with more enemies, provide developers with more colors, and even pump some pretty awesome music into your ears.

That last bit is probably what I'm most impressed with in the trailer above. Mmmmmm, that soundtrack sounds great. The music was easily my favorite part of Pac-Man Championship Edition DX. The latest update to classic arcade action, Galaga Legions DX, will be available XBLA this week and PSN at a later date. I feel so old.

The year 2011 is turning out to be dedicated to making gamers everywhere feel old. My favorite game in the world is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time . Nintendo just released a remake of the game yesterday as of writing. Reading some of Nintendo's Iwata Asks segments on the game, I've come to realize, that I feel really old. I'm only 22. I was a 90's kid. And I feel old because of this game. Let's think about it. Ocarina of Time , lovingly referred to...
