With one office closed and a new office opened, we've all made it home safe and sound, ready for the weekend. Still, among all the lifting and breaking of old junk, we managed to set aside time for this week's GameRevolution Radio. Enjoy! (Remember to listen for the Haiku Winner from last week's contest!)

Owners of the Nintendo 3DS would soon be able to make best use of the cameras on their devices as Nintendo has announced a new system update for the handheld which would enable it to capture 3D video footage. Slated to release this holiday season, this update would apparently offer ‘new experiences’ to those who have conquered all the StreetPass challenges in StreetPass Mii Plaza.

Two new Mario games – Super Mario 3D Land and Mario 3D Land are also scheduled to launch this holiday season. The latter title is supposedly the first-ever 3D Mario platforming game and will make use of the gyro sensor feature on the 3DS. It would be released for the handheld on November 13, 2011. Mario Kart 7 will be made available on December 4 and will include an optional first-person driving mode.

“The 2011 holiday season offers up multiple must-have Nintendo games for both experienced players and newcomers. Shoppers know they can count on Nintendo to offer amazing entertainment experiences at an unbeatable value,” stated, Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales and Marketing.

This holiday season sure is going to be a busy one for Nintendo with even The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword planned to launch in November for the Wii. Nintendo is claiming this title to be the ‘largest game-development project in Nintendo history.’ It is touted to comprise more than 100 minutes of cinematic cut scenes as well as optional hint movies to help players out during game play.

Moreover, as a part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Zelda franchise, Nintendo will be offering the GameCube classic, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition for the DSi and 3DS from September 28, 2011 to February 20, 2012. This game delivers four player co-op gameplay using the wireless capabilities of the devices.

The Nintendo 3DS system update which would equip the handheld with 3D recording capabilities will be made available this holiday season. No definite release date has been confirmed yet.
