Final Fantasy XIV Version 2.0 Coming Winter 2012

Oh, Square Enix... When will you learn? Sometimes when you make a mess, it's best that you just sweep it under the rug, and act like it never happened in the first place. Considering how bad the reception was to Final Fantasy XIV, this would be our recommended course of action. But Square Enix doesn't know when to throw in the towel and is instead planning to release Final Fantasy XIV Version 2.0 next winter.
Up to this point, Final Fantasy XIV has been free in an attempt to lure players into trying the trainwreck. Square Enix plans to begin the paid subscriptions starting in December of 2011, likely to foot the bill for all of the changes they're making to the upgrade version. Version 2.0 will then be integrated into the current game starting in December 2012. After that in Q1 2013, the full 2.0 client will go on sale for both PC and PS3. A PS3 version of the game has never been released thus far.
Square promises revamped maps to reduce that repetitive feel and completely overhaul the graphics engine. There will be a revamped user interface as well and new servers to improve speed and performance.
They're definitely pushing hard to make FFXIV a success, but with the name already so tarnished, it could all be for naught.

Batman: Arkham City - Final Preview

Through the entire lead-up to the upcoming release of the very much anticipated Batman: Arkham City, I have not yet had any chance to see the game. Not at GDC. Not at E3. Not anywhere. Okay, I'm lying a bit. Being a ninja myself, it's just not within the code of conduct to see Batman, despite his choice of costume, unless it's completely necessary. Luckily, this time, it was.
It's difficult to say anything about Batman: Arkham City that hasn't already been said from my fellow GR comrades. Perhaps the only thing I can do is shed some clarity. While Arkham City is an open-world game, which in itself is a tremendous feat worthy of the Batman name, this isn't about exploring the entirety of Gotham City but merely a particularly large section of the city that has been turned into a large complex to hold all the inmates. Batman has the heart not to kill any of them, but none of the inmates really have any, so they just break out and start causing a huge ruckus. Actually, I think Batman allows this to happen just to clean up the mess. It's his daily exercise.
The situation soon spirals out of control and Batman swoops into solve the problem, and by that I mean pulverize muscled guys like human punching bags. It's the natural consequence that happens when you give inmates way too much whey protein powder and weight equipment and deprive them of even the sight of another woman. They get all mad and start wearing clown makeup and think they actually stand a chance against Batman. As usual, he can take on a group of overconfident thugs with just a few punches, kicks, and counterattacks; if they've got guns, he can just use the many ledges installed just for him that allow him to grapple his hook and slip behind them like a true ninja.
Just to give them a fighting chance, the Rocksteady developers have given enemies grenades, night-vision goggles, and some gadgets that jam Batman's detective mode, not that he really needs it in combat. To address complaints of the first game, they have disabled certain navigational aids in detective mode so that players will actually want to come out of it. That said, Batman also has new weapons of his own, including one makeshift electrical taser gun that can be used to stun enemies, short-circuit some computer systems, and attract and repel metallic objects. His fighting moveset has also nearly doubled in size and the animations have been made noticeably more fluid.
But you probably knew all that already, so I'm just going to talk about how to glide and swoop around the city like you've always wanted to do. Standing atop any high structure, Batman can launch himself into the air and glide almost silently almost anywhere in his surrounding. From midair, he can then dive and relaunch himself high into the air, or grapple-hook onto another ledge to propel himself even farther. So don't be surprised to find YouTube videos showing off how long some player with a whole lot of spare time can stay in the air before touching the ground.
Of course, as you fling yourself from one side of the island to the other, you will come across plenty of side quests for extra experience points as well as Riddler's Trophies. Given that the size of the island is estimated to be about six times as large as the setting of Arkham Asylum, that's a lot of time waiting to be spent on exploring. Some of the trophies are even highlighted pink, which means they can only be picked up by Catwoman, who can swap in for Batman once you finish her introductory story sequence.
There aren't many sure bets when it comes to video games, but Batman: Arkham City looks to be one of them. Look for it to swoop into our hands October 18th.
(P.S. I'm not going to spoil what happens, even though I'm allowed to report on it. I just don't think it's necessary and you're going to buy the game anyway, right? RIGHT??!!!)

During my time reporting on games, attending trade shows, and being a nerd, I've witnessed a lot of cosplay--both good and bad. Final Fantasy cosplay is among the most popular. This particular Final Fantasy cosplay has ruined the word fantasy for me, forever. I may never be able to fantasize about anything again. Then again, this cosplay may be appropriate for the franchise, considering what a train wreck it has become.
Serena tweets 'emotions' got best of her in Open final

NEW YORK -- Serena Williams says her emotions got the best of her when she berated the chair umpire during her loss to Sam Stosur in the U.S. Open final.
"My emotions did get the best of me this past weekend when I disagreed with the umpire," Williams tweeted Wednesday. "It has been a long road to get back to the US Open this year, and I am thankful to have had such a great two weeks in New York."
Williams' tweet came two days after she was cited for a code violation and fined $2,000 for verbally abusing chair umpire Eva Asderaki.
Facing a break point while serving in the first game of the second set Sunday night, Williams hit a forehand that she celebrated with a yell of "Come on!" Asderaki applied the hindrance rule, noting the scream came while Stosur reached out and got a racket on the ball. Asderaki awarded the point to Stosur.
That set Williams off on a series of insults directed at the official, reminiscent of her tirade on the same court when she berated and brandished her racket at a referee who called a foot fault in the 2009 semifinal against Kim Clijsters.
Stosur stunned Williams 6-2, 6-3 Sunday, winning her first Grand Slam title. She became the first Australian woman to win a major championship since Evonne Goolagong Cawley at Wimbledon in 1980.
Williams won two tournaments heading into the U.S. Open and was considered a favorite despite being sidelined nearly a year with injuries and health issues. She returned in June after dealing with two foot surgeries and blood clots in her lungs.
Theatrhythm: Final fantasy in development for 3ds
The final fantasy series, which some longing after dark action that the game might be known for a sudden jerk fans. 1UP reported before recent Square Enix official, that Theatrhythm has made: final fantasy is a mixture of music and RPG genres being developed for the 3ds of Indies 0.
The developer can be identified as the manufacturer of the retro game challenge 2 and Electroplankton games for the Nintendo DS. The newest game in the final fantasy franchise looks to feature four game play variations on his musical methods, fields, quests and events set.
Players will be apparently with a four-man team characters from the final fantasy series able to picked up. Songs, to be presented in this title are clash of big Bridge, one winged angel, Zanarkand and the Sunleth waterscape all from the previous games of the series.
Theatrhythm: Final fantasy is currently under development for the Nintendo 3ds. Square Enix to declare even a release date for the title.

Now, to the point, I have no problem to install it only if those who would like to know the game directly from my hard drive is running, must this go to ?ejecutar? and write ?regedit? folders HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Square have soft, Inc \Final Fantasy VII to find. and change the moviepath

Federer ruins Djokovic's season, makes date with Nadal in the final

An Easter egg found hidden in the coming Deus Ex: human revolution irritates the possible Final Fantasy Xxvii. Deus Ex takes place in 2027, but so how long does it for Square Enix to the migration from Final Fantasy title would prove this timeline completely inaccurate.

While Ubisoft has been known to jump the shark in their press conferences, we'll at least want to keep our eyes pealed for the full Assassin's Creed: Revelations reveal. The final teaser trailer above confirms that the game will make it's debut at E3 2011 and conclude Ezio's story.
I'm a lot more interested in what's happening with Desmond and I'm probably all the more eager to see what's up with Altair after all these years. Satiate your curiosity with some prerelease concept art as we twiddle our thumbs until E3 2011.
