GoldenEye 007: Reloaded - GR Review
AppId is over the quota
Once upon a time, there was a game for the Nintendo 64 that put all other movie-licensed games to shame. Rare and Nintendo teamed up and produced a console first-person shooter that made for endless deathmatches and slappers-only entertainment. Matches were competitive to the point that they quickly became silly opportunities to mow down your neighbors, your best friends, and even your brothers and sisters.
Those times are long gone. Goldeneye 007 will never be as good as it was way back when. Seriously, stop trying to bring it back. Electronic Arts tried once. You've probably dug up your Nintendo 64 and had a few matches before getting right back to Halo. This time, Activision has used the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis to raise Goldeneye's worm-filled corpse.... TWICE OVER.
Last year's Wii-exclusive Goldeneye 007 must have performed well-enough, but it would be a safe bet that the company always planned to port it over to the Xbox 360 and PS3, where online multiplayer and HD graphics could reign in another crowd of suckers.
James Bond is yet again caught up in a mystery and conspiracy involving Russians, space-faring nukes, stolen helicopters, and his old partner 006. HE'S THE BAD GUY EVERYONE. You've already seen this movie, played this game, played it again, and now here you are, as Bond, but not-Bond, fighting the same enemies and progressing through the same levels.
Daniel Craig steps into the shoes this time... again... F***. This is getting confusing. Let's quit beating around the bush and say what everyone is already thinking. This game is not what you want it to be. It's not worth your money if you played the original. It retains the smallest iota of Goldeneye 007 from the Nintendo 64 and replaces every other aspect of the game with corridor shooting and roller-coaster riding a la Call of Duty. It's even in Call of Duty's engine. This is lazy, lazy, lazy.Stealth was always a key component in James Bond gaming, but here it's simply optional. Ignoring the opportunities the game gives you to silently take out armed thugs or all of the spare objectives in harder difficulties will ultimately filter out all the greatness that even suggests this game could live up to your memories as 007.
Remaking games is hard, and what little Activision has done to maintain the Goldeneye spirit is commendable. At least they didn't create a game that gave you an actual Goldeneye. Still, there are much better shooters on the market. It's time to hang up the cummerbund and bow tie and enjoy your martini with another game.

While Wii owners got their Bond remade in classic Activision fashion last year, Xbox 360 and PS3 owners have had to wait all this time just for an Oddjob or two. The classic shooter's revamped release has received the revamping process all over again, making the jump to HD with online multiplayer fitting of the Nintendo 64 classic.
While we wait patiently for the game's release next week, I'll put forward the fact that Pierce Brosnan will forever be the best Bond. You disagree? Take it up with me in the comments.
Activision Locks Paintball Mode in GoldenEye, Now GameStop Exclusive

What used to be earned or just free is now a pre-order bonus.
In the original GoldenEye 007, you could earn Paintball Mode by beating the Dam on Secret Agent in less than 2 minutes and 40 seconds or just entering the cheat code. In the Wii remake, it was unlocked right from the start. But for the upcoming GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, it's now been turned into an exclusive GameStop pre-order bonus, as reported by GiantBomb:
This is a minor gripe, for sure, but why lock content that's already on the disc and already in the original? Why not lock content that's actually extra? For online multiplayer, paintball is exclusive to Gamestop consumers, you can’t get it without an unlock code. It’s still available as an offline mode for Mi6 Ops missions.
Stop stepping over all of our memories, please.

Finally, GoldenEye 007 is being released on a non-Nintendo console. It's not as though nobody saw this coming… in essence, we were all asking for it to be on something other than the Wii. The Wii isn't really designed for everyday gunplay, so the more choices, the merrier!
The Xbox 360 and PS3 are both getting Goldeneye 007: Reloaded, and the biggest change from the Wii version (aside from an obvious sharpening of edges) is the twin-stick controls being an actual option. A "real" controller instead of the Wiimote pointing at the screen? Sign me up. Still, if you're one of the group that enjoys pointing at the TV and shouting "bang", you have the opportunity on the PS3; yup, it works with the Sharp Shooter and Move controllers. Most players will likely be playing with the dual sticks, though hopefully the gameplay will tighten up a bit more before release; it wasn't terrible, but there was some notable latency.
The big change to the GoldenEye formula is the online component. Now, finally, 16-player deathmatches can be had! At what should be a full 60 frames per second, 16 players can blast through a diverse array of both new and familiar maps featuring good ol' Pierce Brosnan Daniel Craig, Oddjob, Scaramanga (the Golden Gun, baby!), Jaws, and over 50 others. Fourteen of the characters, the classics like the fellas I just named, have unique features: Jaws can use his steel teeth; Dr. No's arms are cybernetic so hitting them won't do any damage at all; and so on.
There are even a few new weapons to accompany the classic machine guns and the infamous Golden Gun. The Moonraker laser pistol, Goldfinger's gold-plated revolver, the C96 Mouser, and others come along with the over 30 rifles, pistols, and launchers from the original Wii incarnation. This is being touted as the "authentic Bond experience", and while there is still plenty of deviation from the source material, the actual game is still, at its core, Goldeneye. Hopefully the issues with the Wii incarnation have been worked out by now, but we won't know until the final product is on the doorstep.
GoldeneEye 007: Reloaded's release date is November 1st, 2011. If the online multiplayer is anything like we all remember from the N64, then… damn, can't wait!

Goldeneye 007
DESCRIPCION

Activision planning for GoldenEye reloaded

Activision is known for one thing: milking successful Pharma products, until they cease to exist. Is next on their list "to kill" James Bond. 007 has found himself in and out of his way out of many sticky situations. But Activision kiss of death might be too much.
Last year Wii points (we brand should completely,) of the Nintendo enough to bring in some cash Activision was 64 classic GoldenEye,. Activision prepping in turn a kind of remake, sequel, or port. At least it seems.
A few domain names were discovered that could serve as the official Web pages for a game titled GoldenEye: reloaded. No details at this time are known, but likely scenario has Activision the Wii game with extra features, but this time for Xbox 360 and PS3 was found.
How do you play this out?
