"You would happy with these statistics on a day with not much wind," says Garcia.

There were also some impressive shots on the way for Garcia. The 31-year-old Spaniard blasted out of a greenside bunker to 7 feet to save par on no. 14 and then a 45-foot chip-in birdie on the 15th hole, when he is due to the three sprinkler heads in the way putting could not. Walk in the stiff wind, he had PARS the rest of the way, on the last three holes.

Palmer shot par made the cut only once his seven previous appearances at the Nelson with nine each other following rounds of 67. H before this week as caddie James Edmondson, calls his recordings.

"It is never here played well and we finally decided that I was about to take over and the horse to the ranch only lead," Edmondson said.

With contributions by instructor Randy Smith one is taken Edmondson Palmer where from the tee and recordings tell what is to do with his approach. The arrangement is so far working. Palmer opened prior to what perhaps was an impressive round with only a bogey in difficult conditions with a 65 Thursday.

"I keep myself I am as quiet, if it is so surprisingly." ... "This is a golf course, which I fought to have, so it's nice not to think about it, just get up and hit the shot, and when I hit the shots, not is it to me", Palmer said. "So is it be beautiful as the free-swinging."

Tim Petrovic (66) and Scott Piercy (69) were three strokes back at 5 under. Nick Watney (68), Joe Ogilvie (70) and Chad Collins (69) followed at 4 under.

For the second year in a row the cut in the Nelson area amateur teenager Jordan Spieth made. After his 2-under 68 Friday, he was in a group of six players at 3 under.

"Immediately after the round..." I will be there as soon as possible to shoot, "said Spieth." "I know not, as long (Abitur) usually takes."

Seventy-four players the cut at 3 have been passed. Directly at Jason Day (71) defended this brand champion.

Palmer had his only bogey at the 503-yard, par-4 15 holes when he the green with his approach and then two geputtet of 17 meters. With the wind really begins to pick up that he parred where he had a 25-foot birdie with a 5-wood for the second consecutive day on no. 18, try just slide by the Cup.

' I thought I did hit driver today and [Edmondson] moves, the 5-wood. ' What will I do 5-wood taken? Five wood?'"" Palmer said. "And he goes."We practice for the British Open. Press the 5 wood hard, you can hit,' and I did that. "Hit a perfect 5-iron to the middle of the green."

Garcia, who Nelson champion, 2004 has won a tournament since 2008.

"If I feel good am, even in windy conditions today, I feel like I can control the ball flight and I can make some good, solid shots," says Garcia. "It will be hard out there." "I need just to ensure that I remain positive and only try, as much as I can trust."
